Back to the states

Our adventure here in Abu Dhabi is coming to a close as Bob is today finishing up the project for Perot Systems and being assigned to a new place in the states for a while. We are hoping for more international adventures in the future as this has just been incredible. We have been enchanted by the beauty of the land, kindness of the Emirate people, and the wonderful sites and smells of the busy city that never sleeps. There are bakeries, restaurants, corner markets, textile shops and trinket shops open until all hours and we have taken advantage at night of all of them. I will never forget our little house cleaners that are from Nepal who came everyday to clean our little place and tried so hard to speak English as they just wanted to converse with Americans! I will never forget the wonderful smells and taste of the flat bread that is made all over the city in these little bakeries...yum! I will never forget swimming in the sea and the beauty of the water. I will never forget the desert and it's incredible beauty. I will never forget the call to prayer that is broadcast over the city by loudspeakers 5 times per day and the incredible mosques that dot the land. We love the Middle East!
