A few days ago, we spent the day in Sharza which is about 5 min from Dubai. We wanted to see the museums and sights so we bought a museum pass and stayed into the late evening. Every where we go there are Souk cities or shopping places. Many of them look run down but the shops are interesting and with bargaining you can really come out with some great things. I bought some sandals that I think would have been about $40. in the states and I haggled him down to $15. I don't really like to haggle because the people are so poor in these shops but they are almost offended if you don't so I do! The museums were exquisite from historical sights to a fantastic art museum showing off the Shiek's personal art collection. Bob is quite the photographer, taking pictures everywhere we go so I have included a couple of him taking pic's and fiddling with settings, etc. You who are also into that will appreciate! We met a Emirate man named Ibrahim who tried so hard to use his English but it was difficult to understand him; I thought he was great for trying. His voice was a deep, deep bass and he enjoyed telling us story after story of the history of his people. His picture is included too.
